About 5 million tons of Kazakhstani oil shipped through CPC in July

In January-July 2019, 340 oil tankers with more than 36.2 million tons of oil in their tankswere received at the Sea Terminal in Novorossiysk, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported.

In July alone, more than 5.6 million tons of oil were shipped at the CPC Sea Terminal (ST), 54 tankers were received, which is two oil tankers more than in June.

“The shipment schedule for July is completely fulfilled,” the company noted.

At the same time, in January-July 2019, 340 oil tankers with more than 36.2 million tons of oil in their tankswere received at the ST. 

Of the oil shipped last month, more than 2.4 million tons is oil from the Tengiz field, about 882 thousand tons – from the Karachaganak field and more than 1.3 million tons – from the Kashagan field. In addition, about 233 thousand tons of oil came from other Kazakhstani producers.

In total, Kazakhstani suppliers shipped more than 4.9 million tons of oil in July, and about 777.5 thousand tons of oil came from Russia.

In general, from 2001 to 31 July 2019 inclusive, more than 618.8 million tons of oil were delivered to world markets through the Tengiz–Novorossiysk oil pipeline system. Of these, about 538.8 million tons is oil from Kazakhstan and 79.9 million tons of oil is produced in Russia.

This year, taking into account the actual delivery, the total volume of pumping through the pipeline can reach 65.1 million tons, including 57.7 million tons from Kazakhstan and 7.4 million tons from Russia.

It is worth reminding that, General Director of CPC JSC Nikolai Gorban has recently said that the shareholders of the consortium considered and generally agreed to implement a comprehensive modernization program of the CPC pipeline system. It is planned to invest for this purpose about $600 million.
