A Kazakhstani company put into operation a plant for the production of liquid nitrogen

The plant for the production of liquefied nitrogen of the RT Alliance company was put into operation in the city of Aksay of Burlin district of West Kazakhstan region.

The company was established in 2003 as a supplier of specialized gases such as liquid nitrogen and helium. In recent years, the capabilities of the enterprise rose to the sector of oilfield services, including leak detection using helium, flange joint management, pipeline maintenance and chemical treatment.

RT Alliance LLP is the acting contractor of KPO, and this project is a part of the regional map of industrialization of West‑Kazakhstan region directed to the development of industrial potential of the region.

“With the aim of further development of the company’s potential and contribution to the economy of the region as a domestic producer, in 2016, the company launched a project of a plant for the production of liquid nitrogen, based on the needs of major oil and gas fields of Kazakhstan”, said Director of Alliance RT LLP, TalgatKaziyev.

The production capacity of the plant is about 4500 tons per year. The company has already invested more than KZT 400 million in the project. New workplaces have been created.

“The plant will help us stopimporting these products. We will be able to fully provide local oil production companies with liquid nitrogen,”saidTalgatKaziyev.

As noted by Bakytzhan Doskaziyev, Local Business Development Manager at KPO, “this plant is one of the KPO projects for the development of local content aimed at creating a production cluster around the Karachaganak field.”

“The plant is able to fully localize the production of liquid nitrogen and meet the needs of the Karachaganak project. In addition, representatives of the Kashagan and Tengiz projects have already expressed interest to this project because it can be a good example of business cooperation of all operators in the localization of such production”, said BakytzhanDoskaziyev.

According to the Department of Corporate Affairs of KPO, over the past three years, the company has assisted in the development of local production of 22 new goods worth more than KZT 22 billion and 29 types of works and services in the Republic of Kazakhstan worth KZT 186 billion, which were previously provided by foreign companies.
