NCOC has built a new sports complex for residents of Mangystau region

North Caspian Operating Company N. V. (NCOC) has built and handed over to the residents of Mangystau-5 village, Mangystau region, a new multifunctional sports complex, the press service of the company reports.

On this July 5, NCOC, the operator of the North Caspian project developing the Kashagan field, handed over a new multifunctional sports complex to the residents of Mangystau-5 village, Mangystau region. The complex was built within the framework of infrastructure and social projects implementation. The organizers timed the solemn event to the 120th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s oil.

The new multifunctional sports complex is a modern two-storey building designed for physical exercise, sports and health improvement of the population of the region. In addition, it is possible to hold large-scale sports and cultural events there.

“The new sports and recreation complex, the capacity of which is 160 persons, provides grounds for competitions in mini-football, basketball and volleyball,” reports the company.

The sports complex also has a gym, changing rooms, showers. There are rooms for board games and training rooms for various sports. NCOC equipped the building with furniture and basic equipment.

“Development of sport and achievement of high results is impossible without stimulation and support of the corresponding material base. The social responsibility of business plays a special role here. A striking example of such work is today’s facility – a sports complex in the Mangystau-5village. It is gratifying to see that the residents of the region have the opportunity to engage in sports in comfortable conditions,” Deputy Managing Director of NCOC Yermek Marabayev said during the ceremony of the presentation of new sports complexes.

In his opinion, this sports complex will help local athletes to improve their skills, and “we will hear about glorious victories and awards of local sportsmen.”

The press service noted that “for NCOC, this is another step in the implementation of social projects aimed at supporting mass youth sports, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and development of physical culture among population.” In total, during its activity, the company has built more than 200 infrastructure and social facilities in Atyrau and Mangistau regions.
