Schneider Electric and NC “KazMunayGas” JSC are planning to provide the maximum level of localization

Companies have already opened in Kazakhstan the first assembly line of pressure transmitters of the Foxboro series by KMG Automation. The assembly line was launched in Atyrau at the facilities of the joint venture KMG and Schneider Electric – KMG Automation.

The KMG Automation develops and implements complex projects for the automation of world-class technological processes for various industries in Kazakhstan, primarily for the oil and gas industry. Schneider Electric process automation systems have the widest portfolio of state-of-the-art intelligent automation and safety solutions for manufacturing processes, including solutions for improving operational efficiency and digitalization, which form the basis of Schneider Electric’s innovative EcoStruxure concept.

Following the strategic course to provide the maximum level of localization, for the first time in the industrial history of Kazakhstan at the new assembly site in Atyrau KMG Automation organizes the production of innovative measuring equipment under the brand of Foxboro, owned by Schneider Electric concern.

“Localization of production lies in the roots of the development strategy of Schneider Electric. Kazakhstan is a dynamically developing country with great prospects, where large companies are interested in using modern digital technologies to improve economic and production efficiency. That is why we have created a joint venture together with one of Kazakhstan’s largest companies – KazMunaiGas. The launch of the assembly line is an important event that will allow us to be closer to the customers of the region,” noted the President of Schneider Electric in Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse.

The main objectives of production start in Kazakhstan were announced as the development of digital technologies in the region, raising the efficiency of industrial production and fuel and energy companies, as well as the growth of the Kazakhstani economy in the oil and gas industry. KMG Automation is already working on the implementation of the state program for the industry digitization in Kazakhstan.

“KMG Automation is a vivid example of the implementation of a mutually beneficial cooperation strategy, which is called the “Win-Win Strategy” in Western culture. In less than 2 years, an engineering center was founded in the company, a Knowledge Transfer plan was initiated, and the company itself began to transform from an engineering resource into a production asset. This step is the most important stage in the implementation of the integrated program of digitization of the industry of Kazakhstan. KMG Automation is at the beginning of the production localization path, and in the next few years the trend will continue, which will positively affect the local component in our projects,” said Vadim Avhadeev, General Director and Chairman of KMG Automation.

The opening of the assembly line for the production of pressure transmitters by KMG Automation is carried out with the support of NC “KazMunayGas” JSC. The launch of the assembly line is an example of successful development of domestic production in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The products are manufactured under the brand name “Made in Kazakhstan” and meet international quality requirements. The company operates according to international standards ISO 9001-2015 using innovative technologies and is fitted with advanced equipment.
