TCO told about plans for development of local content in production and transfer of technologies

On the 20th of September in Atyrau in the course of “Local content in production of original equipment” forum Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) general director – Imer Bonner – announced about several initiatives to be realized by the companies with the purpose of developing local content in certain types of goods and transfer of technologies.

“TCO has long-term contracts with manufacturers of original equipment, which is so necessary for the needs of  Tengiz field and oil and gas industry of the country as a whole”. Within frames of these long-term contracts the plans for development of Kazakhstan local content were developed and today I am glad to announce about some results of this strategy” – said Imer Bonner.

According to her the agreement has been signed with world leader in the area of automation of systems for management of  technological processes – with Honeywell Kazakhstan company – on opening of the center for automation and testing laboratory under the auspices of  Kazakhstan-Britain technical university in Almaty city in October of the current year.

Also Cameron and MRC companies within frames of agreements with TCO intend to develop local content in valve production. In particular Cameron has planned to open a center for assembly, repair and maintenance of actuators and orbital valves on the territory of  Tengiz field, and MRC – distributor of valve equipment, intends to launch under an international license the production of  two valve models most demanded in oil and gas industry.

Apart from that Schneider Electrik LLP will open in Atyrau city a training center for training of specialists in the area of energy industry and automation of energy supply systems. Graduates from the center will undergo professional certification under international standards.
