Tengizchevroil donated a robotics room to a village school in Mangystau Oblast

A robotics and 3D modeling room was opened at the secondary school No. 1 in Kuryk village, Mangystau Oblast under the sponsorship of Tengizchevroil LLP.

“One of the priorities of our government and society is to train qualified professionals to meet the demands of the digital economy. We are pleased to support initiatives that will increase interest among students and help train them with basic skills of 3D modeling and robotics,” said Rzabek Artygaliev, TCO General Manager for Policy, Government and Public Affairs, during the presentation of the room.

The new robotics class at school No.1 is equipped with a 3D printer, LEGO kits for assembling robots, hardware and software for building simple automation systems, sensors and a computer program. The equipment will give students the opportunity to study robotics, 3D modeling and programming from the beginning.

The company notes that this is not the first instance of cooperation between Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) and Kuryk village residents. As part of TCO’s Community Investment Program in March of this year the company donated musical and stage equipment to the local House of Culture.

TCO’s Community Investment Program was launched in Mangystau Oblast in September 2018 and is designed to last for the duration of the Future Growth Project – Wellhead Pressure Management Project. The program operates in Aktau, Fort Shevchenko, Bautino, Kuryk and Borankul villages. To date, several non-governmental organizations in Mangystau Oblast successfully implemented projects in the field of social entrepreneurship, eco-tourism, education and public health.
