The first Forum for HR leaders of the oil and gas industry was held in Atyrau.

The major industry event “PetroHR-2023” brought together more than 300 managers and key specialists from leading oil and gas and oilfield services companies as well as heads of higher and secondary educational institutions specializing in training and professional development.

The forum began with a review of the HR in oil and gas companies introduced by Assylbek Jakiyev, the official representative of National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Atameken for interaction with oil and gas operators and the development of oilfield services who talked about the positive dynamics of the replacement of foreign specialists with Kazakhstanis in TCO, NCOC and KPO.

“We all know well that our region is the main locomotive of the economy of Kazakhstan and it is important to develop the training of qualified personnel who will be able to transform and modernize production processes, increase the efficiency of operators and ensure their competitiveness,” said the Deputy Akim of Atyrau region Marat Murziyev.

The Forum continued with three panel sessions on social and labor relations in the oil and gas sector, training and digitalization in HR, as well as issues of obtaining work permits, certification and training.

“This is my first time in Atyrau and I really liked the high level of dialogue and the professionalism that I saw here!”, – shared his opinion one of the speakers, General Director of Empatia LLP Anton Kushner.

The forum is organized by the Petrocouncil Oil and Gas Council with the support of NCE RK Atameken, Kazenergy, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC National Company KazMunayGas, TCO, NCOC and KPO.
