Netherlands oilfield service companies are interested in establishing of joint ventures in Kazakhstan

From the 7th to the 10th of October the Offshore energy exhibition and conference (OEEC) took place in Amsterdam (Netherlands), in which a delegation of Kazakhstan oilfield service organizations and enterprises participated.

OEEC is a significant event in Europe, it is an exhibition, in which participate representatives of all offshore energy industry of the region. For the period of more than 12 years OEEC is a unique union of sectors of offshore power industry, oil and gas, offshore wind power industry. More than 550 exhibitors from all over the world presented their newest services, projects and innovation products. Around 12 000 specialists visited the exhibition and participated in strategic discussions, technical conferences dedicated to the future and technical development in the industry.

As Asylbek Dzhakiyev told, the secretary of the Council for development of strategic partnerships in oil and gas industry (Petrocouncil.kz) the delegation of Kazakhstan companies did not just visited the exhibition, but also held a meeting with IRO Association representatives – planner of the exhibition, which unites all suppliers of oil and gas industry of the Netherlands. “With consideration of increased role of Shell – British-Netherlands concern – on Kashagan and Karachaganak projects in Kazakhstan our task was to establish solid relations with Holland suppliers. We discussed creation of  joint ventures in the field of technical maintenance of  facilities on offshore projects, organization of  production for manufacture of  goods for oil and gas industry”, – says Asylbek Dzhakiyev.

According to him the agreement was reached with IRO Association representatives that they will participate in the meeting with the Republic of  Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Askar Mamin during his visit to the Netherlands end of October. It is planned that by the end of current year a separate meeting will be arranged of Kazakhstan companies with IRO members, where they will discuss issues of mutual cooperation and practical detail of the business.

Also during visit to the Netherlands a meeting with Shell concern representatives was held, where they discussed issues of cooperation in the area of oilfield service.
